Step by Step – Candace Calvert
A Review by Becky Holland

Ratings: 4.8 stars
Every once in a while, an author catches my attention so much that I obsessively read everything that he or she pens.
Candace Calvert is such an author. Her experience in the medical field balanced in with her conversational style of telling a story makes anything she writes a good read. Gray’s Anatomy, ER and Chicago Fire have nothing on Calvert. Coolest thing is she wraps God all in her words – so it makes it a better read – more true to life and true to heart.
Step by Step is no exception. Calvert like a potter molding a piece of work puts together of tale with a little bit of intrigue, a little bit of romance and a lot of faith and hope.
Taylor Cabot, ER Nurse and crisis team volunteer, has decided she needs to move forward in her life after losing her husband to a tragic accident. A new community, a new job and maybe the chance at love again is what Taylor thinks could be the solution to regaining herself again.
Enveloped in a community crisis that strikes the ER close to home and puts several lives at risk, Taylor discovers some truths about her husband and his accident, and realizes that her life wasn’t what she thought it was. But Taylor’s not the only one who goes through some poignant changes.
I give Calvert an A for this one – can’t want until the next.
